The aim of the Roleystone-Karragullen Collective is to establish long term sustainability, build social capital and a stronger, self reliant and vibrant community and local economy.
The Western Australian Community Foundation is helping us build a capital base, establish partnerships, build community capacity and identify possible sources of funding.
We have raised over $2500 so far towards our $10,000 that we need to officially launch our fund.
As you will see from the feedback aged care, youth facilities and more community events are priority areas.
I will be calling for nominations for a fundraising committee shortly, but in the mean time please feel free to indicate your interest if you would like to be involved.
Once our $10,000 is raised I will then call for nominations for the advisory committee and a nomination form and frequently asked questions form is attached for your further info.
We have already started on fundraising with a design being drawn up for a metal lapel pin of a distinctive gumnut/leaf. I will seek an interest free loan from local business to have the badges manufactured and we plan to be sold at the fundraising stands planned for Sat mornings at the shopping centre.
Also donation forms will be available from Fidocks.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your participation and heres looking forward to our next planning event!
